Abstract :
The quality of the quasi-plane wave synthesized in the body under test zone is important in accurate near-field antenna measurements or near-field scattering measurements. In this paper, a linear array made up of infinitely long current filaments is utilized as the theoretical model of plane wave synthesis. Genetic Algorithm(GA) is used to optimize the amplitude and phase distribution of the linear array, and the locations of the elements are considered in the global optimizations. The results of computer simulation show that the uniform degree of the amplitude and phase of the quasi-plane wave synthesized in the near zone of the linear array can be effectively improved by the optimization of the positions of linear array elements by means of GA.
