Abstract :
A new technique is proposed for measuring anisotropically distributed residual stress on the inside of samples. This technique applies our photopyroelectric thermal wave detection equipment. The loaded stress dependence of anisotropic thermal diffusivities is demonstrated as a parameter of sample hardness. It is also confirmed that this method effectively enables material fatigue evolution inside the samples
