Abstract
A new simple model has been developed which allows for rapid design and component selection for the output stage of high-frequency electronic ballasts. The model predicts pre-heat, ignition and running conditions based on fluorescent lamp manufacturer´s specifications. This approach is presently being used to design commercial high-frequency electronic ballasts
