  • Abstract
Two recent elastodynamic computations projects at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory are developing finite difference time domain and finite element time domain computer modeling codes. This new capability can be applied to ultrasonic problems in NDE, allowing fast and accurate simulation of virtually any problem. This accurate modeling capability allows one to model a proposed measurement first, optimizing the system parameters and determining the effects of variations in them
