Abstract :
Hereby we have considered some properties of collinear diffraction of light by sound waves in crystals and have shown perspective of creation of principally new spectrometers on the basis of this phenomena. New physical properties of collinear acousto-optical diffraction in several crystals by multi-frequency sound wave are also discussed. It is shown that acousto-optic interaction allows development of new devices for measurement, conversion and processing of optical signals. Some applications of acousto-optical devices in scientific researches are described
