Abstract :
Based on a series R-C damping circuit used to stabilize the whole system, a new type of damped filter is proposed, and the expressions of the optimal damping design are deduced. Moreover, the blocking capacitance is much smaller than the parallel R-C damping circuit proposed in previous literature. The new type of filter used for the input and output filter of the buck converter is benefit to maintain the stability of the system and a smooth output waveform. The advantages of the new type of filter are illustrated and verified by MATLAB/Simulink.
