Abstract :
A novel hole injection layer for organic light-emitting diode has been developed. It consists of a photocatalyst based on TiO2, and provides good control of the formation of hydrophobic-hydrophilic patterns by exposure to UV light. A bilayer device consisting of photocatalyst and emitting layers exhibits the same EL performance as one using PEDOT:PSS for the hole injection layer.
