Abstract :
Summary form only given. We have previously shown that applying electric fields across asymmetric domain structure (duty cycle/spl ne/50%) periodically-poled LiNbO/sub 3/ (PPLN) crystals causes spectral tuning in a cw (PPLN) optical parametric oscillator (OPO). For those experiments the electrooptic spectral tuning shifts the operating longitudinal mode of the singly resonant oscillator. In this presentation we demonstrate the tuning of the entire gain spectra of the PPLN crystal. We demonstrated electrooptic spectral tuning in a PPLN optical parametric generator (OPG).
