Abstract :
A novel model of the transfer function that considers the glottis open and closed characteristics in voiced speech is proposed. The least mean square method is used to estimate the open and closed glottis transfer functions. When this method is used, iterative calculation is not needed for estimation. In the proposed method, it is important to detect the switchover point of open/closed action of the glottis. The Prony method is used for such detection. Experimental examples demonstrate that the proposed method is effective
