Abstract :
The authors propose a predictive interpolation method which can predict the intensity of a center unknown pixel solely from intensities of its adjacent known pixels. They obtain a smooth and reasonable high-resolution image from a low-resolution image and consider the appropriateness of the application of vector quantization to prediction in this study
