Abstract :
In conclusion, passive microring resonator coupled laser exhibits superior performances over conventional DFB and DBR lasers. By using two slightly different ring resonators, wavelength tunability is greatly enhanced. Thus, e.g. electro-optic effect can be used for high speed wavelength tuning.
