Abstract :
We have successfully operated the vacuum-sealed pentode X-ray tube with carbon nanotube (CNT) field emitters. Each component of the X-ray tube was sealed by a two-step brazing process in a vacuum furnace. The robust CNT emitter was specially developed for high-temperature endurance during the vacuum brazing process.
