Abstract :
Summary form only given.Wireless communication and microwave technology need a microwave signal with high spectral purity and stability. We obtained a signal of this quality from an optoelectronic oscillator (OEO). In order to improve the quality of the OEO further, we successfully built a self-pulse injection locked OEO. The self-pulse-injection locked oscillator is described. The bandwidth of the modulator and the PIN photodetector are both 6 GHz.
