The Performance Analysis of Innovation Investment in Electronics Industry in China - Based on the Analysis of Panel Data during 1998-2007

This paper utilizes the output value of new products and the number of patent applications as measurement index of innovation, and finds that the investment of new products has greatest impact to the output value of new products and patent innovation, the fixed capital investment has important impact to the output value of new products, but no impact to patent innovation, the digestion and absorption investment is more important to the innovation of electronics industry than the investment of technology introduction, domestic purchase and technological transformation, through the performance analysis of various innovation investment of electronics industry in China from 1998 to 2003. In addition, this article also analyzes the contribution to the output value of new product from patent innovations and points out that we should not only enhance the performance of innovation investments, but also improve the ability of patent transfer into new products, in order to achieve benefit of industrial innovation.
