University Technology PETRONAS health, safety & environment system

This paper focuses on developing a Web-based system for Health, Safety & Environment, which aims to computerize the process of storing and sharing information about Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS Health, Safety & Environment department to all staff and students. This system provides features to view all information and records, sharing information, make the process of editing, updating and retrieving data become easier for HSE administrator. In developing this web based system, the waterfall model is used. This system is developed using Macromedia Dream Weaver, PHP, Apache and MySQL. The finding shows that the prototype has become a communication medium for all parties involved. It is hoped that the web based system can be used as an aid for HSE department in future.
