Abstract :
Multi-beam klystron (MBK) is a new type of high power microwave amplifier. IEAS began the research work on MBK in 1992. Some research progress on the S-band 200kW MBK will be described in this paper. It includes the design and calculation of the MBK, the design and manufacture of multi-beam electron gun and its focusing system, the design and cold measurement of the fitter-load π-mode double gap coupling cavity. The hot test results of S-band 200kW MBK are also given in this paper
