Abstract :
This paper develops a slack-based measure (SBM) DEA model to evaluate the performance of production systems with multiple parallel subsystems. The proposed model is used to assess the productivity of Chinese agriculture system which consists of five independent parallel subsystems on crop cultivation. The results show that our proposed model can work effectively on identifying inefficient subsystems.
