  • Abstract
The performance of miniTWT technology has been stimulated over the recent years by the need of high power small size efficient transmitters for various applications (Electronic Warfare, Radar, Data Link) covering a broad frequency spectrum from 4 to 40 GHz. A continuous R&D effort has been devoted at TMIS (Thales Microwave & Imaging Subsystems) over the last 5 years to extend the minitube power range at 200W from 4.5 to 18 GHz and 80W from 18 to 40 GHz. The first step was to get the desired RF characteristics. The second step which was achieved in the last two years was to ruggedize and verify the margins of these new products.
