  • Abstract
Low sidelobe amplitude tapers for arrays may be synthesized using a unit circle representation. If the linear array has N equally spaced elements along the x-axis, then the array factor may be written as shown by the equation given. A simple substitution transforms this equation into a polynomial. The roots of this polynomial can be represented on the unit circle.<>
