Abstract :
A study was conducted to develop practical techniques for reliability modeling, allocation, prediction, growth testing, and demonstration testing of systems that contain both hardware and software elements. A large part of the research addressed the use of software product/process metrics to predict software reliability. The study culminated in the preparation of a draft MIL-HDBK on hardware/software reliability assurance and control
