Abstract :
Diversified Technologies, Inc (DTI) recently delivered two versions of RF transmitters for use as test stands for high power amplifier tubes. In March 2009, (DTI) delivered a 500 kW DC solid-state test stand for the evaluation and conditioning of high power tetrodes, commonly employed in a wide range of accelerator and radar systems. A second transmitter features a unique modular design that can produce outputs at different frequencies by changing the output tube and drive amplifier, while retaining the common power supplies, communication, and controls. The test stands are built from DTI-manufactured and commercially-sourced power supplies, a DTI high voltage opening switch, modulator, and DTI controls.
