Abstract
Our study explores the relationship between Team Efficiency and the tool used for Electronic Document Management in collaborative projects. The purpose of the paper is to test the hypothesis that these tools can cause inefficiencies within the teams. The study is based on a survey conducted on students and employees and targets four areas which measures the efficiency of the used tool from an implementation perspective. Although we could not find a clear correlation between perceived team efficiency and the four targeted areas we found contradictions within the answers that imply that there exists inefficiencies when the tool is implemented. Therefore we believe that there might exist a hidden problem which, if corrected, will lead to increased overall team efficiency.
