Abstract :
Summary form only given. SG-DBR widely tunable lasers are key devices for WDM applications. Furthermore high quality WDM transmission systems require small laser´s output power variation with different grating current. We propose a new SG-DBR laser with interleaved gratings (ISG) with a reflection peaks´ envelope that allows to cover 80-nm tuning range with low output power variations.
