Abstract :
We numerically analyze level discriminating characteristics of all-optical gate switches employing the cascaded second-order nonlinearity in quasi-phase matched lithium niobate devices. By using such decision gate circuits, ultra-fast 3R operation beyond 100Gbps can be expected.
