Abstract :
Flue gas desulfurization by activated carbon is an environmental-friendly technique used in thermal power plant. The mass transfer process of SO2 about flue gas desulfurization by activated carbon is analyzed, effective mass transfer velocity of SO2 on fixed bed is proposed and mathematics model is established. Internal diffusivity and internal surface availability coefficient of different activated carbons are measured according to experiments on the basis of the micro-pore dynamics theory for which can guide parameter calculations of the industrial application.
