Abstract :
Semicircular and triangular (30/spl deg/-60/spl deg/-90/spl deg/) gap coupled microstrip antennas (MSA) yield bandwidth which is more than twice the bandwidth of the corresponding circular and equilateral triangular patches respectively. These antennas have been analyzed using the multiport network model. No appreciable change in the radiation pattern was observed over the impedance bandwidth for both antennas.<>
