Abstract
Power and spectral efficient modulation techniques become essential for the next generation digital transmission systems. We consider a modulation scheme which is referred to as triple convolved minimum shift keying (TCMSK). We examined the modem performance of this new modulation technique that meets the most stringent power and spectral efficiency requirements. The performance of the proposed scheme over nonlinearly amplified multichannel environment, in the presence of additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN), intersymbol interference (ISI), adjacent channel interference (ACI) and cochannel interference (CCI) is investigated. The results obtained by simulation demonstrate that the proposed scheme has spectral advantages and better error performance than OQPSK, MSK, SQORC (or FQPSK), TFM, and FQPSK-KF
