Abstract
Cryptography has been a human occupation since the early days of writing. Cryptanalysis evolved as a need to study and find the secrets of cryptographic systems. Classical encryption algorithms are still in use in some systems or as a part of more complicated encryption algorithms. Studying them allows us to find weakness in nowadays systems. This paper analyses classical cryptographic systems and proposes some optimizations to notorious cryptanalysis schemes that can help the cryptanalyst do their job faster and better. Finally, a cryptanalysis library is developed for cracking polyalphabetic ciphers.
