  • Abstract
    A spectral estimation technique based on an autoregressive moving average (ARMA) model has been combined with the transmission line matrix (TLM) method for efficient characterization of microwave structures. A recursive least square covariance ladder algorithm has been used for ARMA modeling. The scattering parameters of a microwave bandpass filter have been obtained directly from the ARMA coefficients, with a computational savings of more than fifty percent.<>
