  • Abstract
    A novel simplified channel estimation scheme for Chinese Multiple Input Single Output (MISO) Digital Terrestrial Multimedia Broadcasting (DTMB) system is proposed. With the consideration of the back compatibility with Chinese Single Input Single Output (SISO) DTMB standard, the adopted frame structure is carefully designed over multiple antennas. The modified time domain correlation channel estimation with frame heads adopted cyclic pseudorandom noise (PN) sequences is addressed for MISO DTMB frequency selective settings. A simple close-form solution about channel estimation can be acquired by constructing linear equation. In order to transform the data from channel output into decoding in the frequency domain, the tail cancellation and cyclic reconstruction (TCCR) process is described briefly. Simulation results indicate that the proposed channel estimation scheme can achieve the same performance as the recently proposed channel estimation with iterative interference cancellation but with a significant complexity reduction.
