  • Abstract
Square waveguide iris polarizers are commonly used for circularly polarized antenna systems. These polarizers are capable of operating over 40% bandwidth. The important design parameters which can be optimized for wide-band performance are the profile of the irises, the spacing between the irises, the dimension of the square waveguide and the thickness of the irises. This paper discusses the sensitivity of the performance of the polarizer with reference to the tolerance on these parameters. The measured performance of a polarizer is compared to the sensitivity analysis.<>
