Abstract :
A main reflector which is formed by tensioning flexible cables with predesignated lengths gives a large volume ratio between stowed and deployed states. This type of an antenna is now under development to be borne on a satellite for the purpose of space-VLBI. This paper describes the structure and deployment mechanism of the antenna. The surface accuracy and electrical characteristics are estimated based on several test data.<>
