Abstract
The enabling technologies such as Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) are effective and significant for the present and future wireless communication systems. Some common problems such as multipath delay spread, channel noise, peak to average power ratio (PAPR), time synchronization error, carrier frequency offset and phase error limit the wireless communication system performances. According to some factors, the performances of OFDM systems have been analyzed and their mathematical models are established with the help of various references. It is found that OFDM performs extremely well, provides a very high tolerance to multipath delay spread and channel noise.
