Abstract
The far-field scattering matrix for orientated lossy reciprocal chiral particles is obtained for a general direction of observation and arbitrary orientation of the particle. Its significance for the design study of isotropic and anisotropic chiral composites is discussed. Several special cases are considered. Emphasis is placed on the physical interpretation of the results.<>
