Welcome message

The BMSB symposium has been a premier international forum for the presentation and exchange of technical advances in the rapidly converging areas of multimedia broadcasting, telecommunications, consumer electronics, and networking technologies. Reflecting the technological trends, emerging novel technologies and services such as IPTV, Mobile TV and 3D HDTV have become key topics in the conference. The 2012 call for papers addressed researchers from academia and industry in the field of broadcasting, multimedia technologies and services, networking, transmission and quality evaluations. Authors from 2? countries submitted 155 papers, and 105 papers have been accepted through the careful review process by technical program committee members and reviewers of BMSB2012. Presentations of the papers have been scheduled in 15 oral sessions and 2 poster sessions running parallel in three tracks. Besides the oral and poster presentations, highly informative tutorials and keynote speeches as well as exciting panel discussions on "Challenges and Opportunities of Digital Broadcasting in Smart Convergence Era" will be also given by the area specialists in the world.
