Abstract
A steerable low profile microwave antenna for satellite communication from a moving vehicle is described. It is based on a Luneburg lens and reflector combination which is steerable in both azimuth and elevation. Beam steering is achieved through the use of a novel epicyclic gearbox which is controlled by attitude and heading sensors within the vehicle
