Abstract :
According to the theory of Voltage Source Converter (VSC) can control active power and reactive power simultaneously and independently, back-to-back VSC is applied to the synchronous parallel operation in power grids. Combined with the characteristic of UPFC circuit structure, this paper proposes a new scheme based on power transmission which can realize integrated functions of power system synchronization and UPFC. The proposal realizes the control to tie-line when back-to-back VSC accomplishes the synchronization between grids, the device quits synchronization and transfers to another running -UPFC. The device can be fully used and maximize overall efficiency can be made. This proposal has a good application value and application prospect.
