Abstract
The author discusses the reasoning behind neural networks and their applicability to meteor-burst communications. Details of data capture and processing, neural network structure, training and testing are given. The details of three neural networks for trail type classification, trail amplitude and trail type prediction are given. Conclusions on their application in adaptive data rate modems, and other uses of neural networks in meteor-burst communications are drawn
