Abstract :
Summary form only given. Among the known THz generation techniques, the optical rectification has the advantages of broader band-width and simplicity. The scalability of THz radiation generated by optical rectification was previously investigated by Carrig et al. (1995), who found the saturation on the THz radiation at high pump intensities in several nonlinear optical crystals. We report our experimental and theoretical study on the saturation of the THz radiation by optical rectification with ZnTe crystal.
