Abstract :
Results are presented to show that the impedance bandwidth of a microstrip patch antenna can be improved substantially by adding a single parallel LC resonator in the form of an open- and short-circuited stub to the feed structure of the antenna. Computed and measured results are presented, demonstrating, a bandwidth improvement of more than 100%.
