Abstract
In view of the complex natures of the stator end-winding structure of large capacity turbo-generator, the study of their quality characteristics was carried through experimental modal analysis at the spot. At present there are simple tens on site testpoints and the quality characteristics are not reflected overall. In order to explore the quality characteristics for stator end-winding of large capacity turbo-generator of 600 MW, the test model based on structural characteristics is established. The test data given by hammering method was compared and analyzed to verify that there is no elliptic vibration and no 50 Hz, 100 Hz resonance frequencies in the novel motor. At the same time the principle and method on the modal test of generators was introduced to give a reference to the operation of similar type units.
