Abstract
This paper proposes a method to reduce the overheads of routing protocol by balancing network performance parameters in GMPLS network. When the traffic load is light, LSAs advertise traditional IGP weight for the link, but on the condition that the traffic load is heavy, LSAs advertise weight according to the occupied wavelengths of the links. After amending the weighting function of the link, we successfully reduce the number of TE-LSA while the network performance is still acceptable. Finally, we have simulated the proposed scheme.
