Abstract :
In this paper we provide a thorough analysis of the inter-cell interference coordination in the heterogeneous LTE-Advanced system. With the introduction of Het-net (heterogeneous networks) deployments, more serious interference will impact the Rx-Tx time difference measurement at UE side to deteriorate the positioning accuracy. We present an inter-cell interference coordination method using the ABS (almost blank sub-frames) as a novel time domain solution. Our simulation results show that the proposed method can satisfy the 3GPP rel-9 UE Rx-Tx time difference measurement accuracy requirement in Het-net scenarios.
