Abstract :
This paper presents a method for the quick calculation of cogging torque waveforms under consideration of the permanent magnets´ imperfections. All possible combinations of faulty and intact magnets can be calculated from two parametric FEA-calculations. Thus, the response of the motor´s cogging torque to the deviations of manufacturing can be predicted in an early state of development and with manageable computational effort.
