Touted as “the answer” to mixed analog-digital custom IC design, CAD vendors have developed and are now actively marketing mixed-mode simulation products. But to date most mixed-signal designs have made limited-if any-use of these tools. Are the tools really there? What went wrong? The authors attempt to answer these questions
