Abstract :
Performance and reliability of space-based high-power amplifiers are of critical importance to end users of satellite systems. We present an overview of the performance and in-orbit reliability of current production linearized traveling-wave tube amplifiers produced for commercial satellite communications. The LCTWTA spot FIT rate, in particular, for units manufactured and integrated entirely at L-3 ETI/Narda West is 127.
