Abstract :
Summary form only given. Periodic poling of ferroelectric materials offers the flexibility to design nonlinear converters with multiple functions on a single substrate. We report in this paper a novel and simple optical parametric oscillator (OPO) scheme based on a dual grating periodically poled KTiOPO/sub 4/ (PP-KTP) crystal that generates frequency up-conversion inside the OPO cavity. A device that generates efficiently 770-nm light from a 1064-nm laser is demonstrated.
