Abstract :
In order to present a more reasonable means for the development of China´s urban rail transit system, the present thesis, adopting methods of diachronic comparison and synchronic comparison, analyses the system structure, the differences between the Chinese and the overseas, and the development trend of urban rail transit systems after processing a large number of data of both home and abroad. The result indicates that the basic trend for Chinese future urban rail transit system will have the following features: the scale will be rapidly enlarged, the accessibility and the convenience will be highlighted, the mode of under ground traffic pluses suburb railways will be employed, and importance will be attached to the development of regional rail transit systems.
