Abstract :
Summary form only given. The high-order harmonics from the ultrashort high-peak power lasers are attractive light sources in the XUV and soft X-ray wavelength region. In the application of the harmonics, a high repetition rate is required to shorten the data acquisition time, and also diode-laser-pumped green lasers are favorable for longtime stability. We report on a Ti:sapphire amplifier system consisting of regenerative and multipass amplifiers with a peak power of 0.2 TW and a pulse width of 22 fs at 5 kHz. The pumping sources for the amplifiers are two diode-pumped, Q-switched YAG lasers.
