On periodically time-varying two-dimensional state-space filters

This paper considers a two-dimensional state-space structure with periodically time-varying matrices. An equivalent state-transition matrix for such a system is first developed and some properties noted. This is then used to evaluate the general response formula. Finally, an equivalent time-invariant block structure is presented and a simplified graphical method proposed for its determination. From this the stability of the overall system may easily be evaluated
